The "fine print":

SnapStream Return/Refund Policy (physically-shipped items)

To obtain a refund on a boxed product that was delivered to you, you must adhere to the following guidelines. If you wish to return downloaded product you purchased from SnapStream, please refer to SnapStream Refund Policy for Downloaded Software.

1. All returns must be pre-authorized by SnapStream Media, Inc. Refunds will not be made on unauthorized returns.

2. Product not purchased directly from SnapStream Media must be returned to the place of purchase and is subject to the return policies of the place of purchase.

3. Returned products must be complete of ALL components (CD, manuals, software carton, etc.) that comprised the original shipment. No credit will be issued for incomplete or non-SnapStream product / component returns.

4. Returns must be postmarked to SnapStream within 30 days after the date SnapStream ships the product.

5. All returns must have a Return Merchandise Authorization # (RMA) clearly displayed on the outside of the return package. To receive an RMA, contact SnapStream Support. You will be given the RMA # and the address for the returns.

6. Upon receipt of an authorized return, SnapStream will provide a refund to you, less shipping and handling charges, which will not be refunded.


 

SnapStream Refund Policy for Downloaded Software

To obtain a refund on a product that was delivered to you by online download, you must adhere to the following guidelines. If you wish to return a boxed product you purchased from SnapStream, please refer to SnapStream General Return Policy.

1. All returns for downloaded software must be pre-authorized by SnapStream Media, Inc. (SnapStream) as described below. Your right to obtain a refund for downloaded software lasts only for a limited time. Your request for a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (described below) must be made to SnapStream within 30 days of the date SnapStream made the software available to you for download (the "Purchase Date"), and SnapStream must receive your fully completed Affidavit of Software Destruction within 35 days of the Purchase Date. No refund will be made until the Affidavit has been received by SnapStream, or if the time requirements described above are not met. SnapStream is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail, delays for downloading, or other communication system delays.

2. Products not purchased directly from SnapStream must be returned to the place of purchase (Web store, etc.) and are subject to the return policies of the place of purchase.

3. If the manual and CD for the software were purchased in the form of an Download Kit at time of the download software purchase, its return will be required (and a refund given) as a part of this return process.

To receive a refund for downloaded software purchases from SnapStream, you must obtain from SnapStream an Affidavit of Software Destruction (described below), and complete and return the Affidavit to SnapStream along with the manual and CD if the Download Kit was purchased. No credit will be issued for incomplete or non-SnapStream component returns. You must also destroy all copies of the software you may have made or stored in any place, as well as uninstall the software from any computers owned or controlled by you where you have installed the software. Once you have returned the Affidavit of Software Destruction to SnapStream (and the Download Kit, if applicable), all licenses you may have to use the software will be immediately terminated, and any further use of the software will be an infringement of copyrights as well as other intellectual property rights.

4. All Affidavits of Software Destruction must have a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA #) issued by SnapStream clearly displayed on the form. To receive a RMA #, contact SnapStream at (713) 644-6240 in the United States or Canada, or e-mail us at orders@snapstream.com, or write to: SnapStream Media, Inc., 6730 Long Drive, Houston, TX 77087, USA. You must provide sufficient information for SnapStream to be able to identify your transaction, such as the SnapStream order number and/or invoice number and/or date of transaction given to you when the download was ordered. If SnapStream is able to identify your order, and the request is made within the timeframe discussed above, you will be given a RMA # as well as a copy of the Affidavit of Software Destruction ready for completion and return to SnapStream.

5. When making your request for an RMA, please provide SnapStream with your e-mail address. You must fill out any missing information on the Affidavit of Software Destruction, sign and date the Affidavit, and return it to SnapStream as instructed on the form.

6. When SnapStream receives your properly completed Affidavit of Software Destruction (and Download Kit, if applicable) within the timeframe discussed above, SnapStream will provide a refund to you of the amount you paid for the software plus refund any appropriate taxes charged with that order. SnapStream will not refund any shipping or handling charges that may have been charged to you. Refunds will be made in the same manner as you purchased the product. If you purchased by check, SnapStream will send you a check, so please be sure we have your mailing address. If you purchased by credit card, your credit card account will be credited. If you purchased by company purchase order, your account will be credited.
